HOUSE COMMITTEE ON ARMY VISITS ANAMBRA,PRAISES GOVERNOR SOLUDO
In a heartwarming display of appreciation, the House Committee on Army, led by Hon. David Ogewe, paid a courtesy visit to Governor Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo at the Government House in Awka, Anambra State, today May 8th, 2024.
The delegation commended Governor Soludo for his unwavering commitment to securing Anambra State and ensuring the well-being of the army personnel stationed in his state. Hon. Ogewe praised the Governor's efforts, stating that the state's transformation into a peaceful and secure environment is a testament to his leadership.
Governor Soludo, represented by his deputy, Dr. OnyekaChukwu Ibezim, welcomed the committee and expressed his gratitude for their visit. He emphasized that security remains a top priority for soludo-led administration and acknowledged the army's invaluable contributions to achieving this goal.
The Deputy Governor highlighted the various youth programmes initiated by Governor Soludo's administration to empower both indigenes and non-indigenes youths of the state, encouraging young people to embrace these opportunities and become productive members of society.
Hon. Princess Chinwe Nnabuife,member representing Orumba South and North, thanked the committee for their support and praised the army's sacrifices in maintaining peace in Anambra State. She called for continued collaboration between the legislature and the executive to ensure sustained progress.
The visit was attended by top government officials, including the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu,Chief of staff to the state Governor, Mr Enerst Ezeajughi, permanent secretary office of the Deputy Governor Dr. Florence Idigo-Ibenta and some military personnel. The visit showcased the positive transformation of Anambra State under Governor Soludo's leadership and the harmonious working relationship between the state government and the army.
