APGA RALLIES SUPPORT AT IHIALA AHEAD OF ANAMBRA SOUTH SENATORIAL BY-ELECTION

Ahead of the August 16 senatorial by-election for Anambra South, All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), intensifies grassroot mobilization across the zone.
The campaign train of Anambra State Governor, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, today August 12, 2025 stormed Ihiala to drum support for APGA’s candidate, Chief Emmanuel Nwachukwu.
Speaking on behalf of Governor Prof. Soludo at the rally, the Deputy Governor Dr. OnyekaChukwu Ibezim described Nwachukwu as the ideal candidate for effective representation in the Senate. He explained that with Nwachukwu in Abuja and Soludo leading the state, Anambra South stands to benefit immensely from purposeful governance.
"Chief Emma Nwachukwu has the competence, character, and capacity to represent our people effectively at the national level," Ibezim said. "This election is crucial for consolidating the gains of solution governance."
On his part, the National Chairman of APGA, Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa, in his remarks, lauded Nwankwo as a well-considered choice. He noted that the candidate’s collaboration with experienced figures like Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe of the APGA party could usher in a new era of progress for the South-East from the red chamber.
“The selection of Chief Nwachukwu was not by accident,” Ezeokenwa stated. “He reflects the aspirations of our people and has what it takes to advocate for the Igbo cause in Abuja.”
Adding his voice, the Member representing Ihiala Constituency in federal House of Representative , Right Hon. Paschal Agbodike, revealed that Nwachukwu’s candidacy emerged through a consensus among party stakeholders/aspirants. He expressed optimism that the candidate would bring quality representation to the Senate.
The event attracted a large turnout of party faithful and dignitaries, including the Chairman of the Local Government Service Commission, the State Commissioner for Education, Chief of Staff to the Governor and other top government officials, as supporters thronged the venue in branded attire, chanting party slogans and pledging their support for Nwachukwu’s bid.
Meanwhile at the venue, with the help of the Deputy Governor doing the symbolic handover to the people, Hon. Paschal Agbodike donated over 10 vehicles, over 20 motorcycles for the security of lives and properties of ndi Ihiala constituency as part of his project.
