DEPUTY GOVERNOR HAILED PEACEFUL PROCESS
Today's local government elections in Anambra State have been hailed as a success, with Deputy Governor Dr. OnyekaChukwu Ibezim describing the process as "very peaceful and calm."
Dr. Ibezim, who cast his vote moments ago at Community School, Mbaukwu, Polling Unit 016, praised the significant shift in the state's electoral landscape. "Residents have come to realize that elections are not a battleground, but rather an opportunity for democratic expression," he noted.
The Deputy Governor attributed the peaceful conduct to the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) government's gaint strides in governance, citing numerous testimonies from satisfied citizens. According to the Deputy Governor "APGA's commitment to effective governance and welfare of Anambra's residents has earned the trust of the people," he said.
Expressing optimism, Dr. Ibezim confidentally predicted overwhelming victory of APGA's candidates. "The people will recognize the tangible progress made under APGA's leadership in the state and vote accordingly," he added.
This election witnessed a good turn out of voters at this polling unit 016.
