SOLUDO FLAGS OFF ALL-ANAMBRA COMMUNITY PLASTIC WASTE RECOVERY CHALLENGE 2.0,
- Calls for Partnership for Cleaner State.

Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo has flagged off the second phase of the All-Anambra Community Plastic Waste Recovery Challenge, calling on communities to partner with the state government in the fight against indiscriminate disposal of non-degradable wastes.
Speaking through his Deputy, Dr. OnyekaChukwu Ibezim at the Jerome Udoji Secretariat Complex, Soludo congratulated the Ministry of Environment on the successful completion of the first phase of the challenge.
He emphasized the need for collaborative efforts in imbibing the culture of waste recovery and recycling amongst ndi Anambra.
In his address, the Commissioner of Environment, Dr. Felix Odimegwu called on all Anambra citizens to take responsibility for the environment, noting that plastic pollution is one of the most pressing environmental issues of our time.
He announced that the community with the first prize winner of this year's challenge will receive one million naira, while the second and third prize winners will receive five hundred thousand naira and two hundred thousand naira, respectively.
The event featured a practical demonstration of waste recovery and separation by the Governor, presentations by different schools, and goodwill messages from the Head of Service, ASWAMA MD, and other agencies.
