NATIONAL LIBRARY CHIEF SEEKS  COLLABORATION WITH ANAMBRA STATE GOVERNMENT TO ESTABLISH  NATIONAL LIBRARY IN THE STATE.  In a bid to strengthen the nation's cultural heritage and educational resources, the CEO National library of Nigeria and, the National Librarian, Prof. Chinwe Veronica Anunobi today, the 28th day of June 2024, paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Anambra State Charles Chukwuma Soludo  CFR whose Deputy Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim  stood in for during the meeting.  In his introductory remarks, the Commissioner for Information Anambra State Sir. Paul Nwosu explained that the visit was to discuss the possibility of establishing a new national library within the state, highlighting the vital role such institutions play in preserving cultural heritage, promoting education, and supporting research and innovation. SOLUDO FLAGS OFF ALL-ANAMBRA COMMUNITY PLASTIC WASTE RECOVERY CHALLENGE 2.0, - Calls for Partnership for Cleaner State. By Nwamah Chioma (JP) Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo has flagged off the second phase of the All-Anambra Community Plastic Waste Recovery Challenge, calling on communities to partner with the state government in the fight against indiscriminate disposal of non-degradable wastes. Speaking through his Deputy, Dr. OnyekaChukwu Ibezim at the Jerome Udoji Secretariat Complex, Soludo congratulated the Ministry of Environment on the successful completion of the first phase of the challenge.  He emphasized the need for collaborative efforts in imbibing the culture of waste recovery and recycling amongst ndi Anambra. ANAMBRA DEPUTY GOVERNOR HONOURED BY THE SCOUT COUNCIL  Today at the government house Awka ,the Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim was  honoured  with an award of excellence by the Scout Council. Presenting the  award to him on behalf of the Nigeria Scout Council, Prince  Levi Ezeudogu explained "the award was given to  the Deputy Governor who is the state President Anambra State Scout Council during the Scout Parade and Presidential Award event held in Abuja later last month and today, the award is being formally handed over to the Deputy Governor in the presence of the  state and national representatives of the  Council." SOLUDO LAUNCHES SOLAR-POWERED STREET LIGHT PROJECT IN NIMO COURTESY OF HON. AKPUA Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo has today the 15th day of June 2024 commissioned a solar-powered street light project in Nimo, Njikoka Local Government Area, aimed at improving the lives of ndi Nimo by reducing reliance on toxic fuel sources. Represented by his Deputy, Dr. OnyekaChukwu Ibezim, Soludo praised the project attracted by Hon. Jude Akpua,  member representing Njikoka II constituency at the state assembly. Addressing the people of Nimo community, Governor Soludo commended Hon. Akpua who is also the Deputy Majority Leader of the state house for solving a critical need in Njikoka II Constituency, describing him as "uncommon and quintessential". Many thanks to Senior Pastor Poju Oyemade and Convener of The Platform Nigeria for the invitation and for keeping faith in providing this Platform for national dialogue. I am glad to be here again after five years.   This year Nigeria marks 64 years as an independent country and 25 consecutive years of democratic experiment in the 4th Republic. Within this period, we have professed to practise democracy and a free market economy.
