ANAMBRA GOVERNOR SOLUDO PAYS TRIBUTE TO LATE PROF. SIR ANTHONY AGBATA

Today, at St. Faith Cathedral Awka, the funeral service for late Prof. Sir Anthony Agbata, a retired medical consultant at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital Nnewi, was held. The service, officiated by the Archbishop of the Ecclesiastical Province on the Niger and Bishop of Awka diocese, His Grace Most Rev'd Alexander Chibuzor Ibezim, was attended by various sympathizers from different walks of life.
Anambra State Governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, represented by his Deputy, Dr. OnyekaChukwu Ibezim, condoled with the Agbata family and the church, describing death as a necessary end. Governor Soludo praised the numerous legacies of late Dr. Agbata as a teacher, medical doctor, and consultant, noting his passing as a great loss to the medical profession.
The Governor extended sympathy to the DMGS family, knights, and ladies, stating that the late medical consultant's life was a blessing, as many who passed through his tutelage are now great men in society.
Late Prof. Sir Anthony Agbata is survived by his wife, Lady Harrietta Agbata, a former commissioner for women affairs in Anambra State; his son, Mr. Chukwuemeka Agbata, MD/CEO of Anambra State ICT Agency; other children; and numerous relatives.
