AS THE ANAMBRA STATE COMMISSIONER OF POLICE PULLS OUT OF SERVICE, GOVERNOR SOLUDO SALUTES CP ADEREMI ADEOYE.
It was a moment with mixed emotions for the good people of the state and the members of the police force when a farewell parade otherwise known as pull out parade was done in honour of the state commissioner of Police CP Aderemi Adeoye for the meritorious 35 years of service in the Nigerian Police Force.
Speaking at the event, the Anambra State Governor Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo (CFR) eulogized the state police commissioner. Soludo stated that CP Adeoye was posted to the state at the right time when insecurity was at its unbearable point in the state.
Governor Soludo appreciated the contributions of CP Adeoye in the state, describing him as a man with sincerity of purpose, style, and doggedness. Stressing that his sincere contributions brought sanity and peace experiencing today in the state. Governor Soludo, who spoke through his Deputy, Dr. OnyekaChukwu Ibezim prayed God to bless the commissioner for the beautiful work he did for ndi Anambra.
In his valedictory speech, the outgoing Police Commissioner CP Aderemi Adeoye expressed gratitude to God for the successful 35 years of service in the police force. The CP described his appointment as the Anambra state commissioner of Police as the crowning glory in his career.
Adeoye, who was at some point in 1991, posted in Anambra state for the first time appreciated the warmth reception he got in the state restated that an average Anambra man and woman are hustlers. He futher explained that ndi Anambra are kind, wonderful, generous, and hospitable people.
The outgoing police commissioner appreciated the honour of street naming with his name in the state, chieftaincy titles to himself and wife and expressed delight over synergy in service he had with the other service commanders.
CP Aderemi Adeoye, the 33rd Commissioner of Police in Anambra State whose services in the force will elapse by the 1st day of May 2024, was trained in Jos, Ghana, England, Israel, United States. He served in Liberia, Addis Ababa, North Atlantic. He attended Harvard University, Oxford University, Cape Town University, etc.
The pull out parade which had the presence of the wife of the CP, top government functionaries, other service chiefs from the sister agencies, the traditional rulers, POWA, other police officers, the yoruba community in the state etc had its high points as the inspection of the guard of honour by the CP, march-past by the police, group photographs and the pull out parade proper by the high ranking officers of the police force in the state.
