ANAMBRA STATE GOVERNMENT PARTNERS WITH ECOWAS, TRAINS 150 NDI ANAMBRA ON FISHERY

At Anambra State Polytechnic, Mgbakwu, the venue of the graduation ceremony of 150 ndi Anambra on fish farming. A youth empowerment programme of Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo'sadministration in helping to give hope to the youths of the state.
In his speech, the State Governor, Prof.Soludo, while welcoming the ECOWAS representative to the state, stated that his administration is conscious about human capital development revolution, agricultural revolution, exetera. He described the programme as a focused development on the youths.
The Governor who spoke through his Deputy Dr. OnyekaChukwu Ibezim thanked the ECOWAS team for the gesture and expressed hope that the trainees would thrive excellently on the venture. Prof. Soludo expressed delight on the ECOWAS satisfaction and willingness to train more ndi Anambra on this venture having being satisfied according to them with what they met on the ground.
Congratulating the graduates on the successful completion of the training after rigorous duration. Prof. Soludo reminded that the state government has trained over 25,000 youths on ICT, over 5,000 on skill acquisition programmes these he said will help in curbing crime and giving hope to the teaming youths of the state.
In his speech, the President of the ECOWAS His Excellency Dr. Omar Alieu Touray, who was represented by the Commissioner for Economic Affairs and Agriculture, ECOWAS Commission Mrs Massandje Toure-Litse
Promotes training programme for the youths, according to her, it's an enabler, stressing that a program like this boasts economic development of the region and Africa at large.
She explained that the programme is to create sustainable jobs and food security for women and youths while providing livelihood for all.
The ECOWAS Commissioner expressed gratitude to the trainers and wished the graduands success in their future career.
In her welcome address,the acting Rector of the polytechnic Mrs. Njideka Chiekelie congratulates the graduates and expressed optimism on exploration of the knowledge gathered and extended gratitude to the state Governor Prof. Soludo for gearing up on this empowerment programme.
On his part, the MD CEO of Fisheries and Aquaculture Business Development Agency FABDA and the inventor of the Teanprowiz Fish Production Business System Mr. Emeka Iloghalu expressed happiness over the training of ndi Anambra youths on table fish production business. He rolled out the successful journey, which, according to him, started some years back.
Mr Iloghalu expressed delight on the demonstration of competence by the business groups amongst the graduands and expressed fulfilment over the outcome which he linked to the sustainable environment and unwavering support provided by Governor Soludo of which "Dr. Fish" Mr. Iloghalu said that sooner than expected, fish millionaires will be raised by the Solution government.
On his part, the commissioner for Commerce and Industry Dr. Christian Udechukwu encouraged the graduands to form corporative groups to help hasten their support from the state government on loans and grants.
In his comment, Dr. Foster Ihejiofor the honourable Commissioner for Agriculture, called on financial institutions to support the graduates. This he explained will double the effect of this successful journey.
In his words, the Commissioner for Youth Empowerment Comrade Patrick Ahamba retraited that the state Governor Prof. Soludo is intentional about youth development. He stated that Anambra as a state is a big market for fish business to thrive and encouraged them to be serious about the business.

In her vote of thanks, the registrar of the school, Dr. Edith Udalla appreciates the presence of the ECOWAS representatives and the state government and prayed for all-around success for all and sundry.
Certificate presentation to the graduates and inspection of the fish farm formed the main points of the event.
