ENUGU AND ANAMBRA STATE CHOOSE HOMEGROWN SOLUTION FOR SETTLEMENT OF BOUNDARY DISPUTES.

Yesterday at Abuja, the nation's capital was the boundary meeting  between Anambra and Enugu State.  The meeting which was headed by the Director General, National Boundary Commission; Alhaji Adamu Adaji. The DG in his welcome address, highlighted on the importance of the boundary commission in identifying, monumenting  and settling boundary issues in the nation and expressed the Commission's readiness in resolving the matter as it affects Anambra and Enugu State.  On his part, the Anambra State Deputy Governor Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim, who represented the state Governor Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo (CFR) at the meeting described the two states as sisters. Stressing that the issue between the two states shouldn't have been allowed to linger thus far. ANAMBRA STATE GOVERNMENT INAUGURATES MBAUKWU PEACE COORDINATOR GROUP

In furtherance of achieving Mbaukwu town Union election as scheduled for Easter 2024, Anambra state Deputy Governor Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim inaugurates the town peace Committee group at the government house Awka. The Committee who were best described as peace coordinators of the community were charged with the responsibility of constitution drafting and ammendment, resolving of any issue surrounding the 6th village. Advised to key into plans the state government has already rolled out for other communities stating that truth is a requisite for them in achieving any lasting impact.  In his vote of thanks the spokesperson of the group Amb. Obadiaya Okpala appreciated the steps taken by the Soludo-led administration via their brother the Deputy Governor to restore peace and harmony in their community and promised on behalf of other members of the group to put in their best in achieving lasting success in the assignment entrusted on them. ...

MBAUKWU COMMUNITY AGREES ON PEACEFUL TOWN UNION ELECTORAL PROCESS.

Consequent on cancellation of Mbaukwu Town Union election for the office of the President General of the community earlier scheduled to hold this yuletide. The  Anambra State Deputy Governor Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim an indigen of the community at a meeting held today at Mbaukwu civic center, called on all candidates and their supporters to trade for peace as against using material wealth to sway over the minds of the community  members.  He urged them to go for individuals with integrity who when elected will be impactful to the community. Unanimously the members of the community present agreed to a peace process of the town union election and a rescheduled date for the election stipulated.  -Nwamah Chioma JP  Office of the Deputy Governor
